Here is a picture of the 2007 Arnold Farm corn maze!  We have many friends that are Virginia Tech fans/alumni and obviously many WVU fans,  I wanted to do a tribute to the Virginia Tech tragedy on 4-16-2007.  I saw the WVT logo floating around shortly afterwards and thought it would be a great way to show our support for Virginia Tech. Just this morning on the news, I saw where the students are returning to campus and it was very sad for a lot of them.  This is the design that I came up with.  The entrance on the lower left side is supposed to be Hokie tracks, but a thunderstorm blew a lot of the corn down in that area and they didn't show up.  Anyway, thanks for checking it out and be sure to come by this fall and check out the 2008 maze as well as our fall decorations and pumpkin patch.

Take a second and think about this.  You always wanted to run around in a cornfield.  The only problem was getting caught by the farmer!  Now you can do it for real!!  A lot of people don't understand what a corn maze is.  There are over 2 miles of paths in this year's maze.  The paths are between 4 and 6 feet wide.  The object is to go in the maze, find 6 questions hidden in the field, answer them correctly, and then find your way out.  It's actually a lot of fun for adults and children alike.  What a great way to spend an October Saturday or Sunday afternoon!!  We're sure you'll enjoy it.  Come as a family or as friends or call to set up a group (club, church, or birthday party).  Weekly dates available by appointment.

We also have many fall decorations including pumpkins, Indian corn, corn stalks, etc as well as drinks, snacks, and other goodies for purchase at our corn maze store.

We want to sincerely thank all of those who made our previous mazes and especially the haunted mazes a huge success.  Below is a picture of the 2006 Haunters (from left)

Looking for another great maze to visit this fall.
Right along the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway in Meadows of Dan, VA
is Acoustics Corn Maze owned by Sam and Sue Shelor.

In 2004, we decided to try our first corn maze.  We had thought about it for a couple of years, but finally everything came into place and the maze was designed and laid out.  2004 was the 250th year celebration of Hampshire becoming West Virginia's oldest county.  John III thought that the logo would lend itself well to a maze and it turned out that it was the perfect maze design for Hampshire County's only corn maze.  The layout took about a week to complete and cut out and it turned out to be a lot of fun for about 1700 people from in and out of Hampshire County.  The picture on the right is an aerial photo of the 4 acre maze taken in July 2004.

In 2005, our second corn maze was a replica of the West Virginia State Quarter which was released in October of 2005.  We received much statewide recognition for the maze design.  The 2005 maze was slightly larger in size covering about 4 1/2 acres as was more complicated to lay out.  Around 1700 people again visited the maze with 150 attending the haunted maze on the last Saturday of October.

The 2006 maze was a tribute to the September 11 tragedy.  It was the Statue of Liberty and the New York skyline.
